2020 Nissan Titan Warrior Specs, Interior, Diesel, Release date

The current generation of Nissan’s half-ton pickup truck has just been updated and everyone is wondering what’s happened with the amazing Warrior concept. This truck was presented last year and it introduced some brand-new styling solutions, although the vehicle is essentially the current generation of the full-size truck. Besides the attractive styling, the concept also came with significantly upgraded interior, as well as with some pretty exclusive features. Everyone expected to see Titan like this after the mid-cycle update. However, that didn’t happen.

The updated Titan features much milder changes and doesn’t actually have too much in common with the last-year. So, we are all wondering what will happen with this beautiful pickup. Is it going to vanish, or it may serve as inspiration for the next-generation model, which won’t come that soon.

2020 Nissan Titan Warrior Exterior

Of course, styling is one of the most amazing things about this concept. You can see all kinds of exclusive details. Everything starts at the front. There, you can notice a quite futuristic face, highlighted by LED headlights and a large grille. The whole truck looks pretty massive. You can notice a lot of muscles around wheels, which are emphasized by a lot of shiny plastic surfaces. Logically, many truckers expected to see the 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior in production.

On the other side, the recent update has brought milder changes. Of course, the new version looks much better, but it isn’t actually what we;ve expected. There are new LED headlights, but in a more common shape, which isn’t much different from the previous design. The grille is more massive but the thing that new Titan misses are all those muscles. Still, this doesn’t change the fact that Nissan engineers did a really good job and that this update will not just prevent the current generation from aging, but also make it far more attractive.

Interior

On the inside, you can notice far more influence on the new version. It’s not exactly the new 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior, but the cabin now looks far better. You may notice some higher-quality materials and new color schemes, but the highlight of this update is a full load of new technologies. First of all, you will notice a larger 8-inch touchscreen, as well as a quit big 7-inch screen on the instrument cluster that sits between gauges.

Still, the thing we like most is that every Titan now comes standard with the so-called 360 Safety Shield. This suite of safety features includes lots of advanced systems. Some of the highlights are things like automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, automatic high-beam headlights, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane-departure warning, and rear automated emergency braking. If those safety features aren’t enough, the Titan can also be equipped with a 360-degree camera, adaptive cruise control etc.

2020 Nissan Titan Warrior Engine

The 2020 Nissan Titan Warrior was expected to come with a 5.0-liter turbodiesel. This engine is good for about 310 horsepower and 555 pound-feet of torque and it ensures pretty impressive towing ratings, which go up to 12.300 pounds. However, the engine is not available anymore. So, the updated model comes with a gasoline unit in the offer only. Still, we should mention that the well-known 5.6-liter V8 gets a nice power boost. This engine has always been known for great dynamics, but things are now become even better, as it now features 10 more horsepower and 19 lb-ft. So, a max output now goes up to 400 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. Another huge change of this update is a new 9-speed automatic transmission, which replaces the 7-speed gearbox.

Nissan Titan Warrior Future

The Titan Warrior didn’t happen, but that doesn’t mean it won’t in the future. In any case, this concept version was of huge importance for the company, as it has introduced to the direction in which the future Titan models will go. Many of its exclusive features found the place in the updated model, particularly in terms of tech features. You may be disappointed because you didn’t see that amazing styling in production, but that doesn’t mean you won’t see it in the future. The Warrior features such a futuristic look and just a couple of revisions can make it an excellent basis for the next-generation Titan, which will definitely need a lot of trumps to compete with North American rivals.
