2020 Nissan Murano Redesign, Platinum, Release Date

The popular mid-size crossover has been updated recently but there are already lots of speculations about the redesign. Rumors about the 2020 Nissan Murano redesign can be found in many places but the fact is that this won’t happen.

2020 Nissan Murano

The current generation has been introduced in 2015 and if we consider the recent facelift, we have no doubt that the Japanese manufacturer will stick to its usual production cycles. Therefore, the 2020 Nissan Murano will come without more important changes. It will continue with the same design and features.

Still, a couple of updates are possible, in terms of new standard equipment and color options. Still, don’t expect miracles. The recent facelift has brought enough novelties to keep this crossover fresh in the following years. Therefore, we have no doubt that the upcoming model will hit the market sometime late in the year.

2020 Nissan Murano Redesign

When it comes to base design characteristics, we have no doubt that the 2020 Nissan Murano will continue in the same way. Even though the recent update has brought a lot of novelties, things remained untouched under the skin. On the other side, there are some pretty interesting novelties in terms of aesthetics.

Of course, the focus was on the front end. The area that received most changes in the front fascia and grille. This area received the company’s latest iteration of the famous V-Motion grille, but there were revisions in other areas as well. For example, we saw small revisions on headlights, as well as several tweaks to the rear end.

Considering all these changes, we presume that the 2020 Nissan Murano will continue in the same way. Still, don’t exclude the possibility to see novelties in terms of new color options and similar things.

Interior

This has always been one of Murano’s strongest points. So, we have no doubt that the upcoming model will continue in the same way. First of all, the overall interior quality is amazing. Hi-quality materials are all around the cabin.

Also, the dashboard is pretty stylish and comes with loads of tech features. Although a mid-size crossover, Murano features just two rows of seats and competes with models like Ford Edge, Hyundai Santa Fe etc.

Therefore, there is plenty of legroom in both rows, so this crossover accommodates five adults with ease. On the other side, the cargo area isn’t that generous. You can count on about 32 cubic feet. The overall capacity goes up to 67 cubic feet.

Trim Levels

The 2020 Nissan Murano may come with a couple of novelties in terms of standard equipment, but we have no doubt that the base trim level organization is about to remain the same. Therefore, count on four familiar models in the offer – S, SV, SL and Platinum.

The base S model already comes with a decent amount of standard features. Some of the highlights are things like 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED running lights, keyless entry and ignition etc. On the inside, you can count on dual-zone climate control, 8-inch touchscreen interface, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four USB ports, and a six-speaker sound system.

The SV expands the list of standard equipment with things like power-adjustable front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and remote engine start. Also, you can count on roof rails.

The SL trim is highlighted by a panoramic sunroof, LED foglights, heated front seats and 11-speaker premium audio system, Also, there are standard features like driver-seat memory functions, leather upholstery, ambient lighting etc.

2020 Nissan Murano Engine

When it comes to the powertrain, no changes are expected. The 2020 Nissan Murano is about to continue with a well-known 3.5-liter V6. It delivers around 260 horsepower and comes paired with a CVT gearbox. Such combination ensures a smooth and convenient ride.

Also, driving dynamics are pretty good. Also, fuel economy is pretty good. You can count on about 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway, which are above-average ratings for the class.

Safety Features

This is another segment where Murano is pretty strong. We don’t expect bigger changes for the next year. So, all models should come standard with things like a rearview camera, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking. In higher trims, you can also get more advanced systems like blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Other available safety features are things like automatic high beams, rear automatic braking, pedestrian detection, front and rear parking sensors etc.

2020 Nissan Murano Release Date and Price

We expect to see 2020 Nissan Murano sometime late in the year. Base models should go around 31.500 dollars.

When will Nissan Murano be redesigned?

Although we can find many reports that are suggesting already 2020 Nissan Murano redesign, the fact is that complete overhaul won’t happen so soon. We expect that the current generation will carry on for a couple of more years.

After that, Murano will come with a completely new design, with all kinds of novelties, probably including electrified powertrain as well. However, it is way too early to speculate.
